One-Day Meditation Retreat led by Ando Jaune Evans -Cancelled

Please note the one-day sitting for this date is cancelled. Kannon Do will host a one-day sitting on Saturday, April 13th. It is led by Ando Jaune Evans, a priest and senior teacher at the Bay Area Everyday Zen Foundation.

Online Dharma Talk: Les Kaye

On Wednesday evening, April 24th our teacher and abbot emeritus Les Kaye will give a dharma talk followed by a discussion.

In-person Dharma Talk: Zoketsu Norman Fischer

On Wednesday evening, May 1st, Zoketsu Norman Fischer, founder and director of Everyday Zen Foundation, will will give an in-person dharma talk followed by a discussion. Zoketsu Norman Fischer was ordained by Zentatsu Richard Baker in 1980 and received shiho (Dharma transmission) from Sojun Mel Weitsman in 1988.

In-person Dharma Talk: Myogen Neal Shorstein

On Wednesday evening, May 22nd, Myogen Neal Shorstein, ophthalmologist, researcher, and Zen Buddhist priest in the Everyday Zen sangha will give an in-person dharma talk followed by a discussion. Myogen Neal Shorstein was ordained in 2018 by Zoketsu Norman Fischer and was shuso for the Spring practice period for Everyday Zen in 2023.
