Helping Out

From its first days as a start up Zen group in the 1960’s, Kannon Do has been sustained and supported by the contributions of its practitioners, both in taking care of essential tasks — the known, on-going as well as the unplanned — and in providing financial support. Helping out occurs when long term members and more recently arrived students feel supported by Kannon Do and appreciate its value in their lives and in the life of the larger community. That feeling inspires a desire to give back.
