On Saturday July 1 we will have a Garden Work Day at Kannon Do. We'll meet at 10:30 AM in the courtyard for tea and cookies, then work until about noon. There's pruning, watering and weeding to be done, and it's always fun working together outdoors to take care of this very special place.
Join us at 10:30 AM for an Introduction to Zen on July 1st. This orientation is intended primarily for individuals new to Zen practice, as well as experienced practitioners who have questions about their contemplative practice. This informal get together takes place on the first Saturday of the month, lasting about 90 minutes.
The Meditation in Life Series are informal conversations that view our lives in the context of experience with Zen practice. This week’s conversation will consider intuition and how we incorporate it into our everyday lives.

If you plan on attending Sesshin on August 12th please join Ken Simpson for Oryoki training on Saturday, August 5th at 10:30 a.m. Oryoki is the traditional way that Japanese monks eat their food in monasteries. At Sesshin 2 meals (breakfast and lunch) will be eaten Oryoki style. Ken's teaching style is fun and informative.
