In Fukanzazengi, Dogen Zenji says that zazen is the Dharma gate of ease and joy, and that
traps and snares can never reach it. Today, particularly in our long sittings and retreats, we
receive instructions to be silent and still.
What skills and agreements do we need for us to handle our physical, physiological or psychological issues in healthy ways?
This workshop will focus on yogic fulfillment of participants’ needs to develop stable, comfortable, nourishing ways to sit and breathe in zazen.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and eat lightly, to receive the most possible benefit from these studies.
