Renshin Bunce is a dharma heir of the late Myogen Steve Stücky. She was priest ordained in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi in 2003 by the late Zenkei Blanche Hartman. After seven years’ residence at San Francisco Zen Center, Renshin worked for 12 years as a hospice chaplain.
We invite you to an informal evening with a short meditation and a discussion for those interested in learning about the Zen tradition. Spend some time with people who know the Zen forms and learn how to sit zazen in our beautiful space. Ask questions and learn about Kannon Do’s history and traditions.

In Ben's talk, he will illustrate the teachings with stories and lessons from his recent involvement with an array of nonviolent community responses to the violence ICE brought to his hometown, Minneapolis, over the last few months.

On Wednesday evening, May 6th, Kigen Anna Breckenridge will give an in-person Dharma talk followed by a discussion. Anna first attended Kannon Do as a high school student inspired by Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind. She continued her zazen practice while attending college in the Pacific Northwest.
