Online Dharma Talk: Jennifer Block

On Wednesday evening, August 26th, our guest speaker Jennifer Block will give a dharma talk followed by an online discussion. Her talk will be: The Way of Active Compassion: How compassion can be cultivated and expressed as service in a world much in need. This includes the work of Buddhist chaplaincy as a practice and the role of chaplains in supporting people in crisis.

Jennifer Block is a chaplain, educator, and coach for individuals who are facing the spiritual and emotional challenges related to aging, sickness, dying and grief. She develops education programs that bring spiritual, hospice, and contemplative care modalities into clinical, business, and education settings.  Jennifer is a core faculty member for the Buddhist Chaplaincy Training offered in Redwood City, at the Sati Center for Buddhist Studies.
