On Wednesday, August 5th, Bonnie will give a dharma talk titled ” Relative and Ultimate Reality.” It will be followed by an online discussion. In this talk, Bonnie will explore the relationship between our sensory world and the universe, between our egoic self and unlimited self, and between our small mind and big mind. It is easy to feel trapped in the constraints of our bodies, feeling separate from all that is. But in truth there is no static abiding self, we are constantly in motion, fluctuating and shifting both physically and in our conscious state of mind. Many of the problems we face today – wars, racism, men vs. women, humanity vs. animals and plants, the extinction of species, and feelings of isolation all stem from an over identification with the the egoic self. Can we learn to see things beyond our physical senses, and to be things beyond our physical bodies? When our physical self is in harmony with our multi-dimensional self, we start to come into a life of balance.
