Elizabeth Orr, Gensen So-On, (Subtle River, Ancestor Voices) has been studying Zen for twenty years. She received the precepts from Rev. Shinshu Roberts at Ocean Gate Zen Center in 2017, and was ordained by Rev. Kyoshō Valorie Beer at Kannon Do on August 10, 2025. She is a writer, photographer, and former journalist from The Mercury News.
