On Wednesday evening, August 5th, Dan Zigmond, Zen teacher, executive coach, and Board Chair of San Francisco Zen Center, will give an in-person dharma talk followed by a discussion.
Dan Zigmond is a Zen teacher and executive coach. For three decades, he worked as a technology executive and data scientist in Silicon Valley, leading teams at Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Google, Microsoft, and a variety of startups. He was ordained by Kobun Chino Otogawa Roshi in 1998 and formally completed his training by performing zuise at Eiheiji and Sojiji in 2025. He teaches meditation regularly on the faculty of the Esalen Institute and serves as a trustee of both the San Francisco Zen Center and Naropa University. His most recent book is Buddha’s Office: The Ancient Art of Waking Up While Working Well (Running Press, 2019).
