On Wednesday evening, June 3rd, Jiryu Rutschman-Byler, co-Abbot of San Francisco Zen Center and Green Gulch Farm Abiding Abbot, will give an in-person Dharma talk on Becoming Yourself, a collection of talks by Suzuki Roshi that he co-edited. The talk will be followed by a discussion.
Please join us for a Board meeting to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6th. Everyone is welcome. The meeting will be in a hybrid format (in-person and online).

We invite you to an informal evening with a short meditation and a discussion for those interested in learning about the Zen tradition. Spend some time with people who know the Zen forms and learn how to sit zazen in our beautiful space. Ask questions and learn about Kannon Do’s history and traditions.
On Wednesday evening, June 10th, Jamie Howell will give an in-person Dharma talk followed by a discussion. Kogen Seido Jamie Howell was raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and Lubbock, Texas. He came to California in 1967 and began his Zen practice with Joshu Sasaki Roshi in 1979.
Kannon Do will host a one-day sitting on Saturday, June 13th. It is led by Sokaku Kathie Fischer, teacher at Everyday Zen Foundation.
On Wednesday evening, June 17th, Gil Fronsdal, senior guiding co-teacher at the Insight Meditation Center (IMC) in Redwood City, CA and the Insight Retreat Center in Santa Cruz, CA will give an in-person dharma talk followed by a discussion.
On Tuesday, June 23rd, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Kannon Do will host a Baika-ryū Eisanka event led by Rev. Monen Ishikawa, who serves as a Baika-ryu Specialty Teacher since 2015. Baika-ryū Eisanka is a type of Japanese Buddhist hymn created by the Soto Zen School in 1952.
On Wednesday evening, June 24th, there will be no Dharma talk.
