One-Day Meditation Retreat led by Renshin Bunce
Kannon Do will host a one-day sitting on Saturday, August 9th, from 8am to 5pm. This sitting will be led by Renshin Bunce, a dharma transmitted teacher associated with the Everyday Zen Foundation. The sitting will take place in our zendo, with lunch and tea being served.

Please join us on Sunday August 10th at 2 p.m. for a Priest Ordination (Tokudo) Ceremony for Elizabeth Orr. It is officiated by Kyosho Valorie Beer. The ceremony will be followed by a reception and vegetarian potluck.

In-person Dharma Talk: Zoketsu Norman Fischer
On Saturday morning, August 30th Zoketsu Norman Fischer, founder and director of Everyday Zen Foundation, will give an in-person dharma talk followed by a discussion. Zoketsu Norman Fischer was ordained by Zentatsu Richard Baker in 1980 and received shiho (Dharma transmission) from Sojun Mel Weitsman in 1988.
Priest Group Meeting and Forms Training with Misha Shungen Merrill
On Saturday, August 30th, the Priest Group of currently active Kannon Do priests will meet from 12:00 noon to 1 p.m. This will be followed by a training session for Doan Ryo participants from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
