  • One-Day Meditation Retreat led by Ando Jaune Evans

    This sitting will be led by Ando Jaune Evans, a Dharma transmitted teacher associated with the Everyday Zen Foundation. The sitting will take place in our zendo, with lunch and tea being served. The suggested contribution for the day is $50 per person which will pay for food and teacher dana.

  • One-Day Meditation Retreat led by Renshin Bunce

    Kannon Do will host a one-day sitting on Saturday, August 9th, from 8am to 5pm. This sitting will be led by Renshin Bunce, a dharma transmitted teacher associated with the Everyday Zen Foundation. The sitting will take place in our zendo, with lunch and tea being served.

  • One-Day Meditation Retreat led by Zoketsu Norman Fischer

    PLEASE REGISTER HERE FOR THE ONE DAY SITTING. Kannon Do will host a one-day sitting on Saturday, October 11th. It is led by Zoketsu Norman Fischer, founder and director of Everyday Zen Foundation.

  • Rohatsu Sesshin

    Please join us for a two-day Rohatsu sesshin on Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th at Kannon Do. Kannon Do and Zen Heart Sangha will jointly host the sesshin. It will be led by Misha Shungen Merrill, who is a Dharma heir of Les Kaye’s and is Guiding Teacher for the Zen Heart Sangha.

  • 12-Week Precept Series: Concluding Remarks, Reflections and One Day Sit

    On Saturday morning, January 17th , please join the practice leaders of this series for a One Day sit that will include concluding remarks, reflections, and discussion. Please register here.   Jaune Evans, Neal Shorstein, Travis Marsot and Kigen Breckenridge will lead the sitting. This will be the concluding event of Kannon Do's 12-week Precept Series.

  • One Day Sit with Renshin Bunce

    Renshin Bunce is a dharma heir of the late Myogen Steve Stücky. She was priest ordained in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi in 2003 by the late Zenkei Blanche Hartman. After seven years’ residence at San Francisco Zen Center, Renshin worked for 12 years as a hospice chaplain.
