Wednesday April 12th: Shosan Ceremony

In place of the usual lecture, this coming Wednesday we will engage in the traditional Shosan ceremony, customarily held following a one week meditation retreat. In this ceremony, each participant faces the teacher to ask a question relating directly to his or her practice. In the monastery, all monks are required to participate, demonstrating their understanding through their questions. At Kannon Do, participations is optional.
