Kannon Do Zen Meditation Center, 1972 Rock Street, Mt View, CA
You are invited to attend an important and enriching event offered at Kannon Do Zen Center: “The Right Use of Power Workshop”.
This is an interactive and experiential workshop led by Reverend Tenku Ruff, a Soto Zen Priest and an expert and facilitator trained in the Right Use of Power. The workshop is very much aligned with the values of our Zen practice and is focused on gaining greater awareness and insight into the different types of power – personal power, role power, status power, collective power, and systemic power. By better understanding the many aspects of power, we can then act with clearer purpose and intention, behave more responsibly and ethically, and work more effectively with and for the benefit of others.
This workshop is positive and empowering. It will instill embodied change by taking an experiential, “inside out” approach and is based on the beliefs that:
People will gain a greater understanding of their own personal power, learn the most common misuses of power, and discover more skillful approaches for working with the different types power.
The workshop will take place outdoors (weather permitting) at the Kannon Do Meditation Center in Mountain View on Saturday and Sunday, September 10 & 11 from 11am to 430pm each day, with a break for lunch (bring a bag lunch, and we will provide drinks and dessert). The event is $125/person to help cover the cost for the 2-day workshop, however, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please RSVP (dan@dangeiger.com) as soon as possible as attendance is limited to 25 people.
