Please join us on Saturday, January 9th, 9:00 am to 10:30 am (Pacific Time), for a “Zen at Work” workshop with Jayashree Mahajan as part of our “Buddhism in Society” program. Jayashree is part of the core MBA faculty in the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida and teaches professional students online and in-person. The talk will be followed by a discussion for everyone to share their ideas and experiences. Lini Wollenberg will facilitate the group discussion.
Les will introduce this new “Zen at Work” program inspired by his first book by the same title and his direct experience working and living in Silicon Valley for decades. Les has continually reminded his students that the vital ingredient for practice is not a special place and that we can practice anywhere, anytime, including our workplace.
The workshop will explore our experiences in today’s working world. The goal is to strengthen our understanding of how we can bring the benefit of our practice into the activities of our everyday lives where we spend most of our time and creative energy. We will look at how our practice can create opportunities to improve our work relationships and environment. By doing this together, we can share stories and exchange ideas and experiences while also getting to know and support each other.
The January 9th workshop is the first of three events about “Zen at Work” planned for 2021.
This event will not be recorded. Please join following this Zoom link:
