Guest Speaker: Susan O’Connell

Please join us Wednesday evening November 4th, to hear guest lecturer Susan O' Connell. Susan O'Connell is the president of San Francisco Zen Center and participates in several important committees in the Zen Buddhist community.

Introduction to Zen

Join us at 10:30 AM for an introduction to Zen meditation.  It's meant for people new to Zen meditation as well as practitioners with questions about their contemplative practice.  This informal get together is a recurring activity, the first Saturday of the month, and it lasts typically about 90 minutes.

ZMBM Discussion

This Wednesday evening, November 11th, we will continue our reading and discussion of Zen Mind Beginner's Mind. The chapter for discussion will be "Believing in Nothing". If you have a book already please bring it.

Meditation In Life

Please join us for our Meditation in Life series, in which we come together by sharing our experiences, by listening to each other, by asking the important questions and by establishing closer relationships. Open to both current members and visitors. Dan will be leading our discussion. The discussion topic will be: What is your experience during meditation?

Meditation Only

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no service or dharma lecture this Wednesday night. The zendo will be available for regular members as usual.

Celebration at Kannon Do

Kannon Do will be celebrating 50 years of Rev. Les Kaye's practice. There will be no meditation instruction this night and those planning to attend the celebration should plan on arriving early. This is a special event for the sangha and for affiliated communities. A reception will be held following the normal schedule.
