Please join us this coming Saturday July 18th at Kannon Do for our regular monthly sangha meeting beginning at 10:30. This monthly meeting is how we take care of the various tasks around Kannon Do and is a good way to learn more about how things are organized and to become involved more significantly.

Join us at 10:30 AM for an introduction to Zen meditation. It's meant for people new to Zen meditation as well as practitioners with questions about their contemplative practice. This informal get together is a recurring activity, the first Saturday of the month, and it lasts typically about 90 minutes.
This day of mindfulness offers a rare opportunity to turn our awareness to the simple activities that sustain our lives, that we normally take for granted: breathing, walking, eating, being attentive to the workings of our mind.
Dear Sangha, This coming Wednesday, 8/12, is our monthly discussion of Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind. We will be taking a closer look at the chapters on Naturalness (pg 107) and Emptiness (pg 111) found in Part 3 of the book.

Please join on us on Wednesday, September 9th at 8 pm for a guest dharma talk by Tim Burkett, visiting from Minnesota Zen Meditation Center. MZMC's Guiding Teacher, Tim Burkett, began practicing in spring 1964 with Shunryu Suzuki Roshi while attending Stanford University.
