Kannon Do Holiday Party

Please join us for our annual Holiday Party (Potluck Supper) on Sunday, December 18, 5:00 – 8:00 PM, at Janet Harrington’s house (771 Orange Avenue, Los Altos). DIRECTIONS TO JANET’S HOUSE:  Take El Monte Avenue – east from 280 or west from El Camino Real.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, there will not be a lecture on Wednesday, November 24; and due to the Christmas holidays, there will no be lectures on Wednesday, December 21 and 28.

Intro to Zen

Join us at 10:30 AM for an Introduction to Zen on January 7th.  This orientation is intended primarily for individuals  new to Zen practice,  as well as experienced practitioners who have  questions about their contemplative practice.  This informal get together takes place on the first Saturday of the month,  lasting  about 90 minutes.

Sangha Meeting and Potluck

Please join us for the Sangha meeting held in the Sangha house at 10: 30 a.m. on January 21st.  Everyone is welcome.

Robe Sewing

Join us for Robe Sewing at 10:30 a.m.

Oryoki Training

If you plan on attending Sesshin on February 11th please join an experienced practitioner  for Oryoki training on February 4th at 10:30 a.m.  Oryoki is the traditional way that Japanese monks eat their food in monasteries.  At Sesshin 2 meals (breakfast and lunch) will be eaten Oryoki style.  The teaching style is fun and informative.
