Sangha Meeting

Please join us for the Sangha meeting held in the Sangha house at 10: 30 a.m. on Saturday, July 21st.  Everyone is welcome.

Garden Day

On Saturday July 28 at 10:30 AM, please join garden stewards Lee and Megan in the Kannon Do courtyard for a midsummer garden work day. Lee and Megan have planned watering, weeding, pruning and general cleanup in the backyard area ahead of the upcoming project to lay down a level stone path around the yard.

Intro to Zen

Please join us at 10:30 AM for an Introduction to Zen on Saturday, August 4th.  This orientation is intended primarily for individuals  new to Zen practice,  as well as experienced practitioners who have  questions about their contemplative practice.  This informal get together takes place on the first Saturday of the month,  lasting  about 90 minutes.

One Day Meditation Retreat (Sesshin)

Kannon Do will host a one-day meditation retreat, or Sesshin on Saturday, August 11th. This day of mindfulness offers a rare opportunity to turn our awareness to the simple activities that sustain our lives, and that we normally take for granted: breathing, walking, eating, being attentive to the workings of our mind.
