If you plan on attending Sesshin on June 9th please join Victor Legge for Oryoki training on Saturday, June 2nd at 10:20 a.m. Oryoki is the traditional way that Japanese monks eat their food in monasteries.
Please join us at 10:30 AM for an Introduction to Zen on June 2nd. This orientation is intended primarily for individuals new to Zen practice, as well as experienced practitioners who have questions about their contemplative practice. This informal get together takes place on the first Saturday of the month, lasting about 90 minutes.
Please join Lee, Megan and others for a Garden Work Day on Saturday, June 2nd at 10: 30 a.m. in the courtyard. The grounds at Kannon Do are looking good as we approach summer, and we will need to continue weeding and pruning actively to keep the garden looking neat.

Kannon Do will host a one-day meditation retreat, or Sesshin on June 9th. This day of mindfulness offers a rare opportunity to turn our awareness to the simple activities that sustain our lives, and that we normally take for granted: breathing, walking, eating, being attentive to the workings of our mind.
