Garden Day

Please join us for a garden work day at Kannon Do on Saturday, July 20th after the 9:30-10:10 p.m. sitting.  Tasks such as pruning, raking and weeding will be taken care of in the front and back areas. Please come and help us maintain the garden and landscape.

Sewing Buddha’s Robe

Please join Kyōshō Valorie Beer for an in-person sewing class on Saturday, July 20th, 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

In-Person Dharma Talk: Anna Breckenridge

On Wednesday evening, July 31st, Anna will give an in-person Dharma talk followed by a discussion. Anna first attended Kannon Do as a high school student inspired by Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind. She continued her zazen practice while attending college in the Pacific Northwest.

Sangha Meeting

Please join us for a Sangha meeting to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3rd.   Everyone is welcome.  The meeting will be in a hybrid format (in-person and online).

In-person Dharma Talk: Anlor Davin

On Wednesday evening, August 7th, Anlor will give an in-person Dharma talk followed by a discussion. Anlor Davin is a Zen priest who has been living in the United States for almost 40 years. She was born and raised in France. She practices with Everyday Zen and Mountain Source sanghas.

In-person Dharma Talk: Jeremy Levie

On Saturday morning, August 10th, Jeremy Levie  will give an in-person Dharma talk followed by a discussion.  After the talk, there will be time to have tea in the courtyard and visit with Jeremy informally.

In-person Day of Mindfulness Practice: Camille Whitney

On Sunday, August 11, Camille Whitney will facilitate an in-person day of mindfulness on the theme “Caring for Self and Others.” Participants will explore how cultivating kindness, joy, compassion, & equanimity can support them in caring for themselves and others.

Online Dharma Talk: Vanessa Able

On Wednesday evening,  August 14th, Vanessa will give a dharma talk followed by an online discussion. Koji Vanessa Able is a remote member of the Kannon Do community, having lived and practiced there in person for six wonderful years.
